EMERGENCY services attended the scene of a collision on the M20 Limerick to Cork road this Friday evening.

Gardaí responded after a car collided with a barrier on the M20 southbound near Junction 4 (Patrickswell).

The incident occurred at peak commuter time, approximately 5:30pm.

 "No injuries were reported and the road has since reopened to traffic," said a garda spokesperson.

Investigations are ongoing.
