A PEDESTRIAN is recovering in hospital this Sunday after he was struck by a car in Limerick city centre.
Gardai, Limerick Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics with the National Ambulance Service all rushed to the scene at Little Gerald Griffin Street, near William Street, at around 7pm on Saturday night.
Following a query from Limerick Live, a garda spokesperson confirmed emergency services attended a road traffic collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle in Limerick city.
“A male, aged in his 40s, was taken to University Hospital Limerick with non-life threatening injuries. Investigations are ongoing,” said the garda spokesperson.

The circumstances of the collision are not known.
A section of Little Gerald Griffin Street was closed while the injured man was tended to by paramedics and gardai carried out enquiries. The road was reopened a short time later.
