RIP: Limerick deaths and funeral details Wednesday, February 25, 2026

The death has occurred of

Angela Dinan (née O’ Donovan)

Of The Grove, Tullyglass, Shannon, and late of Limerick.

Died peacefully in University Hospital Limerick on the February 23 ,2026.

Predeceased by her husband Fred.

Deeply missed by her heartbroken family, daughter Kathleen, son William, son-in-law Ian, daughter-in-law Carol, grandchildren Ciara and Niamh, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and her many friends.

May Angela's gentle soul rest in peace.

Angela will repose in McMahon's Funeral Home, Shannon on Friday, February 27 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Arriving for funeral Mass in SS John and Paul Church, Shannon on Saturday, February 28 at 12:30pm followed by burial afterwards in Lemenagh Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Nora Theresa Fennessy (née O'Keefe)

Of Croom and Killinane, Liscarroll, Cork.

On February 24, 2026, Peacefully in the wonderful care of all at Milford Care Centre, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late Paddy and mother of the late Pádraig.

Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving daughters Aileen, Marylee (Stapleton) and Hanora, daughter-in-law Isabelle, son-in-law Peter, Hanora’s partner Colm, her adored grandchildren Kaylee, Jessie, Mallorey, Beth, Loïc and James, great-grandchildren Bella, Darragh, Eábha and Siofra, sisters Anne, Emily and Joan, brother-in-law Joe and all her cherished sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours, her many friends and her beloved pet Poppy

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing on Thursday February 26 at St. Mary’s Church, Croom from 5:30pm with evening prayers at 7pm.

Funeral Mass on Friday February 27, at 12 Noon with burial afterwards in Reilig Mhuire, Croom.

The death has occurred of Richard ( Dick ) Keane

Of Rockbarton Green, Salthill, Galway. Formerly of Kilmallock.

Dick passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Norah and his brothers Michael and John.

Deeply mourned by his daughters Fiona and Niamh, son Neil, son-in-law Hugh and daughter-in-law Zoe. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by his grandchildren Cuan, Riona, Naoise, Ronan and Dylan, sisters Mary and Nora, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements Thursday, February 26, 2026

We invite you to join us between 5pm and 7pm at the family home (H91 YN1F) to celebrate Dick's life. The family request that the house remains private outside of the time listed above.

Removal from his home at 10.30am on Friday, February 27, to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill, to arrive for requiem at 11am. Following Mass Dick will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Norah in Bohermore cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired in memory of Dick to the Galway Hospice.

Of The Cross, Ardagh

John Joe died peacefully at home, on February 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his loving wife Maria. Deeply regretted by his son Ian, daughters Karena and Dára, sisters Linda and Margarita, brother in law Gerard, grandchildren Aisling, Dylan and Nathan, daughter-in-law Ann, son-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence on Thursday, February 26, from 4pm until 7pm. Arriving at St Molua’s Church, Ardagh on Friday morning for requiem mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery. There will be a one way traffic system in operation for the duration of the reposing.

The death has occurred of Margaret (Madge) Fitzgerald (née Smyth)

Of Plunkett Road, Askeaton

Passed away peacefully at home in her 101st year, surrounded by her loving family. Madge is predeceased by her husband Stephen, and her brothers and sisters. Madge will be sadly missed by her loving daughters, Anna (Hayes), Maureen (Hearne), and Caroline, and her son Jackie. Beloved grandmother of Aoife, Ciara, Stephanie, Caoimhe, Gearóid and Michael, adoring great grandmother of Amelia, Laoise and Nathan. Madge will be fondly remembered by her sons-in-law Richie and Mike, and daughter-in-law Noreen. Nieces and nephew, relatives and many friends and especially her dear friends John, Vera and Kim, and great neighbours.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Requiem Mass on Thursday, February 26 at 11am followed by burial at Lismakeara Cemetery.

On February 24, 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving Family. Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret. Sadly missed by his loving wife Joan, sons Sean, James, daughter Eta, sister Margaret, grandchildren Daniel and Connor. Also, sadly missed by extended family and friends.

Reposing at Riedy’s Funeral Home on Friday, February 27, from 6pm with removal at 7.30pm to the Church of The Immaculate Conception, Newcastle West. Requiem Mass is on Saturday at 11.30am with burial afterwards in Calvary Cemetery.
