Massabielle, Fr. Russell Road, Limerick / Ballaghaderreen, Roscommon
Michael (Mick) Creaton, Massabielle, Fr. Russell Road, Limerick and formerly of Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon. Retired Chief Superintendent, An Garda Síochána.
February 1st 2026, the Feast of St. Bridget, peacefully at St. John’s Hospital.
Beloved and devoted husband of the late Bridie (Bridget). Predeceased by his brothers Tom, Fr. Séan, Fr. James and his sister Peggy. So sadly missed by his children Geraldine, Donal, John and Deirdre. Much loved grandad of Hugh, Ruth, Aimee, Sophie, Steven and Kara. Michael will also be missed by his daughters-in-law, Mary and Trisha, son-in-law Frank, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
May he rest in peace.
Reposing at St. Nessan’s Church, Raheen, Limerick on Wednesday (4th February) from 5pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday (5th February) at 12 midday followed by burial in Crecora Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Bernadette (Bernie) O'Donnell (née McGrath)
Galbally, Limerick
The family of the late Bernadette O'Donnell of Grasmere Gardens, Harrow, London who passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday 26th January 2026 would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their great loss.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many family members, friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our family home and for those who telephoned, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences.
A special word of thanks to the dedicated staff members of St Luke's Hospice. Their care and support provided comfort to Bernadette on her final journey.
Her devoted husband James, and sons Eamon and John welcome all family and friends to her funeral on Friday 20th February 2026.
She will be received on the morning of 20th February at 10.30am into the Church of Saint Theresa of the Child Jesus RC, 24 Boniface Walk, Harrow HA3 6PU. For those travelling by car, parking is available locally without the need for permits.
Following the requiem mass her burial will take place at Northwood Cemetery, Chestnut Avenue, Northwood, HA6 1HR.
All family and friends will then be welcome to attend the reception being held at the Claddagh Ring, 10 Church Road, Hendon, NW4 4EA. Parking is available in Fuller Street, Hendon, NW4 4QL. Staff from the Claddagh Ring will be on hand to provide direction.

The death has occurred of Irene Ryan (née Fitzgibbon)
Kilmurry, Feenagh, Co. Limerick.
Irene passed away peacefully after a short illness on 2nd February 2026, in her 97th year, under the wonderful care of the Bons Secours Hospital Limerick, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Joe, brothers Fr. John, Paudie, and Jimmy. Sadly missed by her daughters Helen (Cunneen), Maria (Lynch), Irene (Doyle), her son Sean, sons-in-law Noel, Frank, and Morgan, daughter-in-law Liz, grandchildren Jack, Caoimhe, Colm, Kate, Diarmuid, Muireann, and Saoirse, extended family, neighbours, and friends.
Rest in Peace
Reposing at Sexton’s Funeral Home, Broadford on Thursday 5th February from 6pm to 8pm. Arriving at St. Ita's Church, Feenagh on Friday 6th February for Requiem Mass at 12 noon which will be live-streamed (link to follow). Burial afterwards in Feenagh Cemetery.
Traffic management system may be in operation in Broadford on Thursday night.
With a special word of thanks to the excellent staff of GEM unit at UHL and St John’s Hospital for their care attention and kindness following his recent admission and to Dr Jim Fehily and all the staff at Ashdown medical clinic, O’Malley’s Pharmacy, his loving carers John Williams and Deirdre Cross, for dedicated care over many years.
