MAN of the Match Shane O’Brien has lauded the Ardscoil Ris management trio for guiding them to a historic All-Ireland hurling title.
Ardscoil Ris won a first ever Croke Cup title this St Patricks Day in Croke Park when defeating roll of honour leaders St Kierans of Kilkenny.
It’s the first Post Primary Schools Senior A Hurling title for Limerick since CBS Sexton Street in 1966.
Kilmallock’s O’Brien has heralded the work of coaches Niall Moran, Cormac O’Donovan and Paul Flanagan in guiding this team to silverware after a number of final defeats across the last six years for this group in the North Circular Road secondary school.
After lifting the trophy with joint-captain Vince Harrington O’Brien spoke with Jerome O’Connell of the Limerick Leader.
