BREAKING: Emergency services at the scene of two-vehicle collision on busy Limerick road

EMERGENCY services are at the scene of a road traffic collision on the N21 in County Limerick this Sunday afternoon.

It occurred around 3pm on the stretch of road between Adare and Rathkeale. It is understood it is a two-vehicle collision.

The extent of injuries, if any, suffered by the vehicles' occupants is not known at this time.

Gardai and Limerick Fire and Rescue Service from Rathkeale and Newcastle West remain at the scene.

There are long tailbacks of traffic on the N21.
