Gardai say the driver of the electric scrambler died from his injuries at University Hospital Limerick
A YOUNG man who was seriously injured in a road crash in County Clare at the weekend has died in hospital, gardai have confirmed.
In an update, issued this Wednesday morning, gardaí in Shannon say they are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the single-vehicle collision that occurred in the town shortly after 11:30pm on Saturday, March 21.
"The collision involved an electric scrambler on Bóthar Na Luachra, Shannon. A male in his early 20s was taken from the scene by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased yesterday, Tuesday, March 24," said a spokesperson.

An investigation into the incident is underway and gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and who were in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
