Deaths in Limerick

The death has occurred of Sr Marie Grignon Hayes SSL of St Louis Convent, Monaghan Town, Monaghan and formerly of Nicker, Pallasgreen, Co. Limerick.

Passed away peacefully in the loving care of her St Louis Sisters and the staff at Cavan General Hospital on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

Predeceased by her parents, Timothy and Mary, her sisters Helena, Rosalie, Sr Alcantra SSL, Sr Anne SSL and her brothers Cornelius, Patrick and Jim.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sister Kathleen, extended family, friends and her St Louis Community.

Remains will be reposing in St Louis Convent Monaghan from 4.30pm until 6pm on Friday, September 6. Evening Prayer at 6pm. Requiem Mass will take place in St Macartan’s Cathedral Monaghan H18 W863 at 11 am on Saturday, September 7 followed by burial in Latlurcan Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy) Mulvihill of Farranmiller, Glin, Limerick.

Passed away unexpectedly in the tender care of his family and the staff at Adare and District Nursing Home on September 4, 2024. Predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Criss, daughters Joanne & Breda, sons Tommy & Michael, grandchildren Leanne, Eoin, Cathal & Claire, daughter in law Deirdre, son in law Brian, nephews, nieces, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Church of The Immaculate Conception, Glin on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 5pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11am followed by burial afterwards in Moher Cemetery, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Alzheimer's Society.

House Strictly Private Please.

The death has occurred of John (Sean) Downey of Lisgordan, Ardagh, Limerick.

Passed away peacefully at UHL surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his loving wife Teresa.

Sadly missed by his loving daughter Sharon, son-in-law Chris, grandchildren Chris, Anthony, Marie, John Paul, Samantha, Donna, great-grandchildren Kai, and Arthur, brothers Denis, Pat, Michael, sister Kathleen, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and a large circle of friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at St Kieran's Church Coolcappa on Friday evening from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Saturday, Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
