'I'm not going to tell you' - Limerick star's awkward TV exchange with Patrick Horgan on sideline
Limerick hurling star Will O'Donoghue was involved in an awkward exchange with Cork star Patrick Horgan during an RTE interview after the Treaty's 0-36 to 0-21 win over All-Ireland champions Tipperary on Saturday evening.
John Kiely's men laid down a marker in the rain in Semple Stadium and with the big focus for all the big hitters being the Munster and All-Ireland championships in the summer, O'Donoghue was going to let any team secrets slip to one of Cork's current crop of stars.
During the interview on RTE television, host Joanne Cantwell chatted the towering defender about the performance before bringing Kilkenny legend Henry Shefflin and Patrick Horgan into the conversation.
Hoggy was quick to probe on the half-time goings-on in the Limerick dressing room with O'Donoghue's side 13 points up on the 2025 All-Ireland champions and seemingly coasting to victory.
Horgan said: "I was just interested the messages you got at halftime. Obviously you had it all your own way in the first half, and your standards would be very high. What kind of targets would be set for the second half?"
O'Donoghue was quick to retort: "I'm not going to tell you them like."

Horgan came back: "The targets themselves like..." The pair of bitter Munster rivals laughed before O'Donoghue gave his answer.
He said: "No, no, no, yea, like you know, there was lots we weren't happy with. They got a lot of clean puckouts off to the middle, and they got one or two long ones that we didn't execute. Small bits like that, execution stuff. But it's not rocket science, I'd say you know what it is now."
One cheeky comment on the RTE video suggested: "O'Donoghue should have asked Hoggy what Pat Ryan said to them at half time in 2025 final." Cork led by six points at the break of the All-Ireland final last summer before succumbing to Tipperary on a 3-27 to 1-18 scoreline.
Limerick now sit second in Division 1A. They will face Cork in round six of the competition before attention turns to summer hurling.
