Roads in Limerick to temporarily close for filming of new Liam Neeson movie

A NUMBER of roads and sections of roads in Limerick city will close to facilitate the filming of the new Liam Neeson movie 4 kids walk into a bank. 

Limerick City and County Council wish to advise motorists and road users that Robbers Production film crew will be shooting on O’Sullivans Place and Newenham Street/Jesuit Lane, Limerick City.

Roads will be closed from midnight to 11pm. As a result diversions will be in place for the duration of the closure. Emergency service vehicle access will be available at all times.

Newenham St from its junction with the Crescent to its junction with Henry Street is one of the first to close to traffic and parking, from Tuesday, January 7, from 12pm to midnight.

The same goes for Jesuit's Lane, from its junction with Hartstonge Street to its junction with Newenham Street and Lourigan’s Lane, from its junction with Newenham Street.

Additionally, O’Sullivan’s Place will also be closed on this date and times, from its junction with Clare Street (R445) to its junction with Old Clare Street.

On the week commencing Monday, January 13, there will be a number of sites closed for one day only up until Friday, January 17. These locations include: Hartstonge Street from its junction with O’Connell Street (R526) to its junction with Pery Square.

Catherine Place from its junction with Catherine Street to its junction with Hartstonge Street and Catherine Street from its junction with Cecil Street to its junction with Mallow Street. 

As well as this, Lower and Upper Glentworth Street will be affected, from its junction with Pery Street to its junction with Henry Street (R526).
