Limerick parish kicks off Christmas countdown - with tea and coffee on St Patrick's Day!

IT may be more than nine months until Christmas, but volunteers from St Joseph’s Church are already planning ahead.

That's because on St Patrick’s Day, parishioners will be serving up teas and coffees for spectators attending the city’s parade, which gets under way at noon.

There will also be biscuits and other treats at the St Joseph’s Church parish centre in O’Connell Street.

It’s expected brewing will commence at around 11am on Tuesday, March 17.

All are welcome to drop in, buy a coffee and enjoy each other’s company on the day, while helping to raise valuable funds for the church.
