Bruff and Monaleen will meet in this year's U20 premier hurling final today at 1pm in Kilmallock.

This year Limerick GAA made the decision to switch the U21 grade to the U20 grade.

Bruff defeated Monaleen in the group stages of the U20 hurling championship 1-19 to 1-15.

Monaleen and Doon produced an enthralling game of hurling in Knocklong on Monday evening in the U20 hurling championship semi-final. The scores were dealocked at the end of normal time. Extra time was then played and it finished 1-19 apiece. The game then went to penalties and Monaleen won out 5-4. 

Mark Field and Matthew Fitzgerald impressed scoring 1-14 out of their side's 1-19. 

Last Sunday, Bruff got the better of Mungret St Paul's. in the U20 hurling championship semi-final. The south Limerick side won out 3-12 to 2-09. Owen Meany and Charlie Cronin registered 1-10 for the victors. Meany is an injury doubt heading into this weekend's final.

It's has been a busy few days for the Bruff and Monaleen players. Some of the players were involved in Harty Cup action on Weednesday afternoon with Castletroy College and John The Baptist Community school.
