THE finalists for this year's Limerick U20 hurling final have been confirmed.
Bruff and Monaleen will meet in this year's U20 premier hurling final on Sunday at 1pm in Kilmallock.
Monaleen and Doon produced an enthralling game of hurling in Knocklong yesterday evening. The scores were dealocked at the end of normal time. Extra time was then played and it finished 1-19 apiece. The game then went to penalties and Monaleen won out 5-4.
Mark Field and Matthew Fitzgerald impressed scoring 1-14 out of their side's 1-19.
On Sunday, Bruff got the better of Mungret St Paul's. The south Limerick side won out 3-12 to 2-09. Owen Meany and Charlie Cronin registered 1-10 for the victors.
It's set to be a busy few days for the Bruff and Monaleen players. Some of the players are involved in Harty Cup action with Castletroy College and Hospital tomorrow afternoon.
