FOUR teams remain in the hunt to win this year's Premier U20 hurling championship. Bruff and Doon finished top of group one and two in the round robin series.
Monaleen and Mungret St Paul's finished in second place. Both of these side competed in last year's side which saw Mungret St Paul's win the championship.
Limerick GAA have made the decision to switch the u21 grade to U20 grade this year.
In the first semi-final on Sunday, Bruff face Mungret St Paul's in Fedamore at 12pm. Bruff will look to use this U20 campaign as a building block after they came came up short in the Premier intermediate semi-final against Garryspillane.
The south Limerick outfit will towards Limerick U20 stars Sean Casey and Tadgh Boddy aswell as Limerick minor hurler Jack Fitzgerald.
Mungret St Paul's are the reigning champions and the city side will look to defend their title. Mark O'Brien and Fintan Fitzgerald will be hoping to keep their ambitions of winning back to back championships alive this weekend.
It was a disappointing campaign in 2024 for Mungret St Paul's senior hurling team where they suffered relegation to group two of the senior hurling championship.
The second semi-final sees Doon take on Monaleen on Monday evening at 7:30pm in Knocklong.
Monaleen came up short in last year's decider. This year, the Castletroy club have been steadily building momentum winning the premier minor championship along with the junior 'A' championship.
Dara Ferland, Matthew Fitzgerald and Joe Fitzgerald have all made the transition onto the Monaleen senior team. All three players have made a significant impact for their club this year.
Doon will look to continue to their momentum after winning their first senior championship. The east Limerick side have senior stars Tomas Lynch and Donal Coughlan within their ranks. Lynch impressed between the sticks throughout the senior championship. Coughlan missed some of the senior championship through a hand injury.
