Investigations underway following Limerick road collision

INVESTIGATIONS are ongoing following a road crash in Limerick city at the weekend.

The collision occurred on Greenhill Road in the Garryowen area shortly before 9pm on Saturday. 

Gardaí investigating the crash confirmed that the collision involving a car and two stationary vehicles occurred, at approximately 8:45pm.

“There were no injuries reported. Investigations are ongoing,” a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed. 

A video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows the moment of the crash. 

A car can be seen travelling along Greenhill Road towards Garryowen Road before the impact between the occupied car and the two stationary cars can be heard. 

The cameraman and other onlookers then are seen running to the crashed vehicle where considerable damage can be seen on the occupied car.
