TEAM Limerick Clean-up has launched a Christmas competition for all primary schools across the city and county.
Fourth class pupils from Scoil Mocheallog, Kilmallock helped launch the Decorate a BIG TLC Christmas Tree Competition.
Primary school pupils have been asked to decorate a 1.5 metre high Christmas tree using recycled and recyclable materials to learn more about waste, sustainability and protecting the environment.
Competition winners will be announced in before the schools break for the December holidays.

The competition has three categories: Junior Competition (Junior and Senior infants); Intermediate Competition (1st to 4th class) and Senior Competition (5th and 6th class).
The prizes are vouchers for school equipment (€750 for 1st prize, €550 for 2nd prize and €350 for 3rd prize in each category).
A selection of trees will be displayed in Dunnes Stores in the Jetland Shopping Centre in early December with the winners of each category invited to an awards ceremony to meet TLC co-founder and rugby star Paul O’Connell.
