May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Bart Halvey of Dunvullen, Caherconlish, Co Limerick.

Predeceased by his father Patrick and deeply regretted by his son Josh, mother Ellsie, brothers, sisters, Aunt Breda, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and large circle of friends.

Reposing on Wednesday (April 3) at Cross' Funeral Home, Ballyneety between 6pm and 7.30pm. Funeral will arrive at Archbishop O'Hurleys Memorial Church, Caherline on Thursday for Mass at 12 midday.

Burial will take place immediately afterwards at Inch St. Laurence.

House private - family flowers only. Donations to Milford Care Centre.


The death has occurred of Eddie Fallon of Grangewood, Lisnagry, Limerick. Formerly of Mullagh, Co. Galway.

Deeply regretted by his devoted wife Dolores and children Vincent, Andrew, Deirdre, Edward, Carmel, Niamh and Diarmuid; his 12 grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate, Limerick on Tuesday (April 2) from 6pm to 7.30pm with funeral arriving at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Milford, on Wednesday (April 3), for Requiem Mass at 11.30am - click here for live-stream.

Burial will take place afterwards in Kilmurry Cemetery, Castletroy.

The death has occurred of Mary Doody (née Clancy) of Birmingham UK. Formerly of Broadford, Co Limerick.

Beloved wife of John and loving mother of Sharon, John and the recently deceased Michele.

Sadly missed by her daughter, son, daughter-in-law Bernadette, son-in-law Tony, grandchildren Aoife, Niall, Niamh, Fionn and Caitlin, sister Esther Fitzpatrick, brother Con, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal from Sextons Funeral Home, Broadford on Friday (April 5) at 1.30pm to the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, Broadford for Requiem Mass at 2pm.

Burial afterwards in Springfield Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Sadie Davern (née O'Dwyer) of Elton Post Office, Co. Limerick. Formerly of Ballyhoulihan, Emly, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by her husband Ned, brothers Jimmy, Billy and her sister Peg (O'Donnell).

Mother of Winnie, Eamon, Billy, and Breda (O'Brien), Sadie will be sadly missed by her loving family, son-in-law Paul, daughters-in-law Mary and Clare, sister Mary (Quaide), brother Mike (Virginia, Co. Cavan), grandsons Mark, Michael, Adam, Edmond, Cian and Scott, sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, carers and friends.

Reposing at Davern's Funeral Home, Hospital, Co. Limerick (V35XV96) on Tuesday (April 2) from 5.30pm until 7pm.

The death has occurred of Anthony (Tony) Cleary of Monabraher Road, Ballynanty, Limerick. Formerly of Assumpta Park, Limerick. Late of Limerick City Council.

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Pauline and sister Chrissy.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Martina; children Charlene, Anthony, Michael, Martin and Philip; grandchildren, brothers; Cyril, John, Michael and Joseph; sisters Marian, Joan, Helen, Olive, Geraldine, Noelle and Caroline, daughter-in-law Sylvia, nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Cross' Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Limerick, on Tuesday (April 2) from 3.30pm to 5.30pm followed by removal to St. Mary's Church, Athlunkard Street.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday (April 3) at 11am with burial afterwards at Ballycannon Cemetery, Meelick, Co Clare.


The death has occurred of Pat Carroll of Bennekerry, Co. Carlow. Formerly of Tullig North, Templeglantine, Co. Limerick.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Mary, son Patrick, daughter Lorraine, brother Christy, sister Hannah, son-in-law Gavin, daughter-in-law Niamh, adored grandchildren Rachel, Aoibhinn, Kate, Ciara, Rían, Fiadh and Páraic, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Predeceased by his father Christy, mother Margaret (Peg) and brother John.

Reposing at his home (R93 X2R4) on Wednesday (April 3) from 3pm to 8pm and on Thursday (April 4) from 3pm concluding with prayers at 8pm.

Funeral Mass will take place on Friday at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, Bennekerry with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Carlow/Kilkenny Home Care Team or the Irish Cancer Society.

The death has occurred of Bridget (Biddy) Byrnes (née White) of Ballycushown, Doon, Limerick

Predeceased by her husband Pat and her son P.J.

Sadly missed by her son Ger, daughters Mary, Alice and Kay, brother Larry, sons-in-law, sister-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Whites Funeral Home, Doon on Wednesday (April 3) from 6pm until 7.30pm.
