May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of John Tolton of Newmarket, England, Formerly of Fairyfield, Kilmallock, Co. Limerick.

Pre-deceased by his wife Violet and son David. Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving sister Theresa, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

John's Requiem Mass will be held in England and simultaneously a Memorial Mass will be held in Ss. Peter & Paul's Church, Kilmallock on Wednesday, January 10 at 12noon.


The death has occurred of Josephine (Jo) Howard of Lucan, Dublin. Formerly of Ballingaddy, Co Limerick.

Sadly missed by her brother Patrick, sister-in-law Marie, nieces Sinéad and Eimir, grandnieces, grandnephew, extended family and many friends. 

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Lucan on Monday (January 8) from 6pm to 8pm with removal on Tuesday morning (January 9) to St. Mary’s Church, Lucan arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am - click here for live-stream.

The death has occurred of Annette Lane (née Cusack) of Ballymackeogh, Newport, Tipperary. Formerly of Singland Road, Ballysimon, Limerick.

Beloved wife of William and much-loved mother of Richard, Maureen, Cora, Patrick, Liam, Aileen (Griffin), Brendan and Ann Marie (Monaghan). Predeceased by her infant daughter Bríd, her brothers John and Stephen and sister Dolores.

Sadly missed by her sister Mary (Donovan, USA); grandchildren Cian, Jennifer, Sinéad, Killian, Kieran, John, Robert, Gearóid, Olivia, Emma, Ethan, Lily, Alex, Kate, Billy and Jayden; daughters-in-law Yvonne, Leonora, Helen and Noelle; sons-in-law David (Griffin) and David (Monaghan); Cian’s partner Síle, her sisters-in law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Cross' Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Limerick this Sunday (January 7) from 2pm to 4pm.

Funeral will arrive on Monday, January 8, at St. Patrick's Church, Dublin Road, Limerick (V94EP64) for Requiem Mass at 11am.

Burial afterwards at Mount St. Lawrence (extension) Cemetery.


The death has occurred of Brendan Leech of Arraview, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick. Formerly of Carrigaline, Co Cork.

Predeceased by his parents Maureen and Michael. Deeply regretted by his brother Ian, Mandy, Charlotte, Naoise (god-daughter); close friends Kim, Suzy, Maeve and Mark; other friends, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other relatives and neighbours.

Cremation service, for family and close friends, will take place at The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork on Tuesday (January 9) at 2pm.


The death has occurred of Mary O'Carroll (née Hanrahan) of Patrickswell, Lough Gur, Bruff, Co. Limerick.  Formerly of Thomondgate, Limerick.

Pre-deceased by her parents Austin and Annie; husband Jack and her infant daughter Ferga.

Sadly missed by her sons John and Claude.

Requiem Mass will take place at St. Patrick's Church Lough Gur on Sunday (January 7) at 12 midday - click here for live-stream.

Burial afterwards in Bruff cemetery.
