David Deady will have Alan Kelly, John Chawke, Caitrin De Bhal, Paul Hogan, Darragh Murphy, Dave O’Shea, Dr Cathal O’Donnell, Stephen Corridon and Mary Kennedy in his backroom team for both squads.
LIMERICK Camogie have kept faith with the management team that oversaw the 2026 campaign.
The county board announced that Bruree’s David Deady will remain at the helm for a second year.
While Limerick didn’t secure promotion to Division 1A of the national league and were eliminated in the round-robin stage of the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Championship, it is widely accepted that the team took a step in the right direction this year.
Deady will remain also in charge of the U23 side as well.
In 2026, despite topping the group in the “U23 ‘B’ Championship, Deady’s young charges were not awarded home advantage and fell to a one-point semi-final defeat to Antrim.
Deady will have Alan Kelly, John Chawke, Caitrin De Bhal, Paul Hogan, Darragh Murphy, Dave O’Shea, Dr Cathal O’Donnell, Stephen Corridon and Mary Kennedy in his backroom team for both squads.
Given the age profile of the senior squad, the two panels trained together last year with a lot of key Limerick players including Donna Kenny, Laura Southern and Eimear O’Donovan remain available for the U23 side next year.
“Following a positive and progressive 2026 season, the County Board is pleased to confirm the continuation of the management structure as preparations begin for the 2027 campaign,” read a statement from Limerick Camogie.
“Under Dave Deedy's leadership, the Senior and U23 panels made significant strides throughout 2026, demonstrating commitment, resilience and a strong desire to develop and compete at the highest level. The progress achieved across both squads provides a solid foundation on which to continue building in the seasons ahead.
“The County Board would like to acknowledge the dedication and professionalism shown by Dave and his management team throughout the year and looks forward to working with them as they continue to support the development of inter-county camogie in Limerick.
“We also extend our sincere thanks to the players for their commitment and efforts during the 2026 season. Their hard work and dedication have been instrumental in the progress made and will be vital as preparations for the new season get underway.”
