MUNSTER will be without two key players for the weekend’s United Rugby Championship (URC) clash with the Sharks.
Saturday’s Thomond Park clash has a 5.30pm kick-off and will be televised live by Premier Sports.
Shane Daly, who sustained a concussion in the six-point defeat to Leinster last weekend, has been ruled out.
He has started the return-to-play protocols, the province have confirmed.
Seán O’Brien is also unavailable this week due to a groin injury.
In player news, former Ireland U20s winger/full-back Rob Russell has been training with the squad as short-term cover in recent weeks.
Russell previously played for Leinster before joining Gallagher PREM side Gloucester before the start of last season. However, after a difficult spell in England, he left the club after making just five appearances for the Cherry and Whites.
Clayton McMillan’s men come into this Round 5 clash sitting in ninth place in the table. The Sharks, who have three wins from four games so far, sit in fifth place.
