MUNSTER Rugby's forwards coach Andi Kyriacou is well aware of the importance of the last few games left in the regular season of the URC, stating that each game feels 'like a mini final' every week.
Speaking during the Munster Rugby conference during the week, Kyriacou said: "The top of the table is fairly close in terms of points and we have two tough games ahead of us in Edinburgh and Ulster but we are fairly measured about it and we try to only look ahead to the game that's in front of us.
"It's a huge challenge going over to Scotland and putting in a performance against this Edinburgh side and we hope to have improved the few bits from the Connacht game to improve our overall game this Friday, we are looking forward to the challenge."
Munster currently sit third in the URC table behind Glasgow Warriors and Leinster and all going a win against Edinburgh will secure the province a home quarter-final in the URC.
Their final regular season game will be home fixture against Ulster in Thomond Park on the June Bank Holiday weekend.
Andi went on to say how the improved performances of his forward pack has helped the team in winning their vital matches in South Africa and most recently their Interpro derby against Connacht.
"I have been very happy with our set piece, line-out and scrums over the last few weeks. It has come off the body of a lot of work from guys that might not be getting picked right now, those games when the Six Nations was on and all the players that contributed to our wins during that period has really spurred us on.
"Adding RG Snyman and players with that weight back into the mix with the detail we have been focusing on it really just strengthens the pack and the results have reflected that for us."
Munster will travel the DAM Health Stadium in Edinburgh this Friday evening with a 7.35pm kick-off. The game will be shown live on TG4 from 7:30pm.
