Four arrests have been made after cannabis and cash worth an estimated 4.4 million euro was seized.
On Friday, 220 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of 4.4 million euro was seized by Revenue.
A further 10.5 kgs of herbal cannabis, with an estimated market value of 210,000 euro, and 10,000 euro in cash was seized by An Garda Síochana in follow-up searches in South Dublin and Co Kildare.
Four men, all aged in their 30s, were subsequently arrested.
They are being detained in Garda stations in Dublin and Kildare under the provisions of Section 50 of Criminal Justice Act 2007.
The seizures were made as part of an intelligence-led operation involving Revenue Customs Service and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
