Emergency services attending the scene of the collision in Killonan, Co Limerick
A MAJOR road has been closed in Limerick following a collision involving two vehicles this Thursday morning.
The road traffic incident occurred on the N24 at Killonan, Co Limerick, at approximately 7:45am this Thursday, August 28.
Gardaí and emergency services are still at the scene, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed at 9:30am.
The road has been closed following the collision, with local diversions in place.
No serious injuries have been reported at this time.
Three units from Limerick Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene, with the station receiving the first call at 7:51am.

Two units returned to the station at 9:20am. At time of writing, one unit is yet to return.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision on the N24 at Killonan, Co. Limerick.
"The collision involving two cars occurred at approximately 7:45am this morning, Thursday, 28th August 2025.
"No serious injuries have been reported at this time.
"The road is closed and local diversions are in place."
