FOLLOWING their impressive 5-1 win over Pike Rvs on Saturday evening, Fairview Rangers need three wins from their remaining five games, should Pike Rovers win their remaining six games, to be crowned Limerick District League Premier Division champions and end a 22-year wait a return of the League trophy to the Fairgreen.

On Thursday evening, the Blues face a tricky task away to Janesboro while the same evening Pike also face a tough assignment at home to Regional United.

On Sunday Fairview Rgs host Nenagh while Pike travel to Newport after which we will know exactly what’s required to bring the league campaign to an end.

Midweek action begins Wednesday, April 23, with the Premier A Healy-Webb Cup Final in Jackman Park at 6.30pm.
Newly crowned League champions Athlunkard Villa will be looking to make it an even more memorable season by completing the double.

However they meet a Charleville side, who once they were out of contention in the league, turned their attention to winning the divisional cup.

In the process they have been quite impressive so the Champions would be well advised to prepare for a tough one.

In the lower leagues, the two favourites in Div 2A are on the road on Thursday. Kilmallock come to town to meet Abbey Rvs while Balla cross town to play Aisling.

The top two in Div 3A are also on the road. Prospect travel to Lough Derg while joint leader Fairview Rgs are also in Tipperary, to take on Nenagh.

On Friday evening, the Under 17 Div Two Cup final is fixed for Jackman Park fore 6.30pm. Charleville will take on Lisnagry or Murroe (at the time of wring the game has yet to be played).

On Saturday, Moyross B meet Lough Derg in the Div 2B Cup Final. A big crowd is sure to add to the atmosphere.
Moyross have already beaten the Tipperary lads comfortably twice in the league but I think Moyross can expect a tougher challenge this time out.

In the Div 1A Cup Semi Finals Pallasgreen meet Aisling Annacotty D while Star Rvs host Ballylanders.
In the race for the Division 1B title, leaders Herbertstown visit Croom Utd and if they can avoid defeat, they will secure promotion.

Shelbourne, who play Kilfrush, will be hoping for a Croom win which would give them a chance to overtake the leaders.
In the Lawson Cup, Mungret Reg take on Aisling on Sunday, after the latter’s played again game with Shelborne proved an easy outing for the Premier side.

Mungret were not in action at the weekend but they are having a great season, sitting joint third in the table.
A semi final date with Fairview Rgs is on offer for the winners.
