Fundraising walk to support Limerick's Little Blue Heroes

THE LIMERICK Garda Division will be hosting a fundraising walk to support Little Blue Heroes.

The Three Bridges Walk will take place on Saturday, September 30 in aid of the Little Blue Heroes Foundation, which support seriously ill children.

The aim of the event is to clock up 5,000km across the iconic Three Bridges Walk in Limerick City between 8 am to 8 pm. W The Three Bridge loop is 3.6km in length, and will start and finish at the rear gates of Henry Street Garda Station.

To reach the 3.6km goal, a total of 1,387 loops would have to be completed. The loop can be completed by walking, running or cycling.

The event will run alongside a family fun day from 12 pm – 4pm which will take place at the rear of Henry Street Garda Station where a number of local and national Garda units will be on display – Garda Band, Armed Support Unit, Dog Unit, Mounted Unit, Scenes of Crime, Roads Policing and many more.

They will also be expecting a visit from The Liam McCarthy Cup and the Paw Patrol Crew, along with local face painters and magician.

A number of local musicians and Pipe Bands will also be there to provide some live entertainment. It will be sensory friendly from 12 pm – 12.30 pm.
