Limerick defeated Waterford in the Munster hurling league final on last Saturday afternoon

THE LIMERICK senior hurlers won a fourth Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling League when easing past Waterford by eight points in Mallow on last Saturday afternoon.

The 0-23 to 0-15 victory is a timely boost for Limerick ahead of the start of their Allianz Hurling League Division 1A campaign, on Sunday, February 1 against Waterford at Azzurri Walsh Park, 2pm throw-in. John Kiely's side have a bye in the opening round of Division 1A.

Thirteen members of the Limerick senior hurling panel are back in action for their colleges in the Fitzgibbon Cup this week.
