
LIMERICK completed their first five-in-a-row of Munster SHC titles when edging past great rivals Clare in a nail-biting Munster SHC decider played at a baking TUS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday.
John Kiely's charges added the 2023 Munster senior hurling title to those won by the Shannonsiders in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. It was also the fifth year in a row for Adare's Declan Hannon to captain Limerick to provincial glory.
Limerick had previously won four Munster titles in a row between 1933 and 1936.
