Deaths in Limerick - February 18, 2018

The death has occurred of Rita Hynes, of Caherdavin, Limerick, Castlelawn Heights and Roundfort, Co Mayo. Predeceased by her parents Delia and Owen, sister Mary and her brother John. Sadly missed by her sister Sr Anne, sister in law Anne, nieces, grand niece, grand nephew, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Roundfort Community Funeral Home this Monday evening from 6pm removal at 8pm to the Immaculate Conception Church, Roundfort. Mass on Tuesday at 12 o' clock burial afterwards in Roundfort Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Gerard (Gerry) McMahon, of High Road, Thomondgate. 

Gerry, passed away (peacefully) at St. John's Hospital, following a short illness in the presence of his family. Beloved husband of the late Anne (nee Hayes). Very deeply regretted by his sons Gearóid, Declan, Dermot & Colin, daughters Mairéad, Emily & Áine, grandchildren, sons'-in-law, daughters-in-law, sister Angela (U.K.), extended family circle & friends.

Reposing at Cross' Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Tuesday (Feb. 20th) from 5pm followed by removal at 7pm to St. Munchin's Church, Clancy Strand. Requiem Mass Wednesday (Feb. 21st) at 11am with funeral afterwards to Ballycannon Cemetery, Meelick. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired to, the Irish Heart Foundation.

The death has occurred of Noel O’Brien, of Glenview Gardens, Farranshone, Limerick / Ardnacrusha, Clare. 

 

Noel died (peacefully) at St. Camillus’ Hospital. Beloved husband of Patsy, dearest father of Deirdre, Declan, Tony and Noelle and much loved granddad to Cian, Conor, Jessica, Ailbhe, Emily and Mark . Deeply regretted by his daughters-in-law Pat & Mary, son-in-law Bernard, brother-in-law Charlie, sistersin-law Jean and Doreen, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Monday, Feb 19th, from 5.30pm, Removal at 7pm to St. Munchin’s Church, Clancy Strand. Funeral on Tuesday, Feb 20th, after 12 noon Mass to Kilmurry Cemetery, Castletroy.

The death has occurred of Maura Bourke (née Cussen), of Dublin, Fanore, Co. Clare, Riga, Latvia and Formerly of Bulgaden, Kilmallock, Co. Limerick. After a brief illness in St. Vincent’s Private Hospital. Deeply regretted and lovingly missed by her husband Michael and son Cormac, sister Helen, brothers Liam and Michael, brothers-in-law Pat and Seamus, sisters-in-law Agnes and Deirdre, nephews and nieces and many many friends here in Ireland and abroad.

Reposing in S.S Peter & Pauls Church Kilmallock, Co. Limerick between 7:00pm-8:00pm on Monday 19th February 2018. Requiem Mass on Tuesday 20th February 2018 at 12noon. Burial afterwards in Bulgaden Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Gerard Doyle, of St. Anthony House, Park Road, Limerick and late of G.M. Doyle Motor Assessor Ltd. Died peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Very deeply regretted by his loving wife Ruth (Mackey), his daughter Catherine (Keane), sons Gerard, Peter and Seamus, sisters, brothers, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and a large circle of relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Moloney, of Carhue, Croom, Co. Limerick February 16th, 2018 peacefully. Very deeply regretted by his sorrowing brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and his very large circle of friends.

The death has occurred of Michael (Gull) McNamara, late of St. Ita's Street, St. Mary's Park and Limerick Corporation. Survived by his wife Eileen, daughters Virginia, Linda, Yvonne, Alice, Louise and Elaine, sons Michael and Leonard, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Maureen Ryan and Margaret Quinlivan, brother Peter McNamara, nieces, nephews, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law and a large circle of friends.

The death has occurred of Ann Kenny (nee Quirke), of Athlacca, Kilmallock, Co. Limerick Feb. 16th, 2018 after a long illness, bravely borne, at UHL. Very deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband Mike, sons Colin, Mike, Shane and Derek, daughter Sarah (O' Kelly), son-in-law Richie, daughters-in-law Caroline and Elaine, adoring grandchildren Ciarán, Isabelle, Amy, Ella and Conor, brothers Timmy and Tom, sister Margaret, uncles Eddie and John, aunt Bridget, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, carers, kind neighbours and her very large circle of friends.

The death has occurred of Martin O'Dwyer, 1 Oak Crescent, Newcastle West and late of Assumpta Park.

Survived by his brother Johnny, sister Patricia, nephew, nieces, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Virginia Slater (née Nash), Lynwood Park, Ballysimon Road and late of St. John’s Square, Virginia, peacefully in The Lakes Nursing Home, Killaloe.
