The death has occurred of Jack Cosgrave of Linden Court, Kennedy Park, Limerick

On February 18, former Electrician at NKS Electrical. Late of Young Munster and Thomond RFC.

Beloved son of Christopher and Lizanne. Dearly loved brother of Lauren. Sadly missed by his partner Áine, Lauren’s fiancé Jason, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Saturday, February 22, from 10.30am to 12.30pm followed by removal to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Roxboro Road for Requiem Mass at 1pm followed by private cremation service.

In line with Jack’s family's wishes, bright colours should be worn, rugby gear from club or country would also be very much appreciated.

The death has occurred of Alice Davis (née Gaffney) of Kilcoora, Broadford and formerly of Gurrane, Kilmeedy, Co Limerick

Peacefully in her 92nd year, surrounded by her loving family on February 19 in the wonderful care of the staff of Medical 2, Mallow General Hospital.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Davy, loving daughter Hannah (Owens), son-in-law Pat (Owens) and sister Mary Ita.

Deeply regretted by her daughters Katherine and Christina, son Thomas, daughter-in-law Kate, adored granddaughters Sinead, Katelyn and Alison, brother Seamus, sisters Eileen and Kathleen (Cribben), sister-in-law Sr. Josie (Mount St. Vincent, Limerick), brother-in-law, nephew, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Sextons Funeral Home, Broadford on Friday, February 21 from 6pm to 8pm.

Removal from her residence on Saturday 22nd February to St. Ita's Church, Raheenagh for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Aglish Cemetery. 


The death has occurred of Thomas (Tom) Gavin of Ahawilk, Feohanagh, Limerick and formally of Coolmuckbane, Co Monaghan and Killascobe, Menlough, Co Galway.

Retired Detective Sergeant, Garda Síochána, Monaghan.

Thomas died peacefully at Saint John’s Hospital, Limerick on February 19.

Predeceased by his siblings Mary, Nora, and Jim. Sadly missed by Freda, his loving wife of 60 years, and his children Vourneen, Padraic, Sean, and Eileen, daughters-in-law Alison and Gloria, son-in-law John, and daughter’s partner Ross. Missed by his grandchildren Ciara, Luke, Aisling, Róisín, Leah, Siena, Niamh, and Ashford, his brother Paddy, his sisters-in-law Mary and Maura, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home in Ahawilk on Friday, February 21 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

Arriving at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Newcastle West on Saturday morning, February 22, for the funeral mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards at Calvary Cemetery, Newcastle West.


The death has occurred of Bridget McNamara (née Stuart Trainor) of Rose Cottage, Ballycahane, Croom, Limerick

Peacefully, on February 19, in the excellent care of all at Milford Care Centre surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Thady.

Lovingly remembered by her sons Nicholas, David, Michael and Timothy, daughter-in-law Marguerite, grandson Jack, brothers Bill, Paddy (R.I.P), Owen (R.I.P) and John, sister Mary (R.I.P), brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, work colleagues, neighbours and her friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at St. Michael’s Church, Manister on Sunday, February 23 from 5pm with evening prayers at 6.30pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday, February 24, at 1pm. Followed by cremation service at Shannon Crematorium at 3pm.


The death has occurred of John (Sean) Moloney of Keeper View Terrace, Athlunkard Street, Limerick and formerly of Crecora Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick

Ex Taxi Driver, Burlington and 12th Infantry Battalion Sarsfield Barracks.

On February 19, peacefully, at Milford Care Centre, in the presence of his family.

Pre-deceased by parents John and Kathleen, sister Mary and brother Pat.

Very deeply regretted by sons David, Brian, Aidan and Stephen and their mother Marian, grandchildren River, Autumn and Tadhg, daughter-in-law Lynda, sisters Margaret and Catherine, nephews, nieces, other relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Cross’s Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Friday, February 21, from 3.30pm to 5pm, followed by removal to St. Mary’s Church, Athlunkard Street.

Requiem Mass Saturday, February 22, at 10am, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence (extension) Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Anthony Shine of Rhebogue Meadows, Dublin Road, Limerick and late of New Street, Limerick 

Ex Dunnes Stores, Parkway.

On February 18, unexpectedly, at Royal Papworth Hospital, U.K.

Pre-deceased by his parents and sister Moira.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Caroline, his adored children David, Andrew and Sarah, brother Martin (London), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, many friends and neighbours.
