Man arrested following robbery incident at Limerick business premises

A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery incident at a business premises in Limerick city centre earlier this week.

Gardai have confirmed members of staff were threatened and a sum of cash taken after a man entered a premises at William Street on Wednesday evening.

An investigation was launched and the suspect, aged in his 40s, was arrested by investigating gardai on Thursday afternoon.

The man was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a garda station in Limerick and he has since been charged.

He is due to appear in court this Friday and gardai say investigations are ongoing.
