Attendees learned from Mr Curran’s experience as he led a panel discussion featuring successful local business owners Gordon Shine of Shines Agri, Adare, Leonie Lynch of Juspy, based in the city centre and David Jeffreys, the former chief executive of technology firm Action Point, which was based in Plassey.

The panel focused on topics such as export strategies, business development, and opportunities for expansion in Limerick and the Midwest region.
Mr Curran said the event "is all about encouraging small businesses to think about getting bigger."
"How they can get bigger and also to look at things like exporting and to look at sustainability? It's really an information-gathering exercise for client companies that want to come along. They can discover what supports are there from energy efficiency to help with building an export market and getting market information if you want to think about that," he added.
