Fans of the The Young Offenders will be delighted to see photos from the fourth series of the show, which have just been released.
The first look images for the upcoming fourth series, from producers Vico Films, have been unveiled, featuring many beloved characters returning for more hilarious and heartwarming adventures. It is coming soon to BBC One.
Those behind the series say The Young Offenders has become a cultural phenomenon, capturing the hearts of audiences worldwide with its unique storytelling and unforgettable characters.
In 2023 The Young Offenders continued to see viewing with 6.3M iPlayer requests despite no TX. The new series follows on from the hugely successful previous three series which originally aired on BBC Three, the 2018 Christmas special which saw the show move to BBC One for the first time and the box office smash feature film from 2016.
Series 2 and 3, filmed back-to-back in 2019, proved massive draws for audiences not only in Ireland and the UK, but across the world, and the show garnered critical acclaim for its sensitive yet hilarious story-telling and performances.
The Young Offenders has been commissioned for the BBC by Jon Petrie, Director of Comedy Commissioning and the Commissioning Editor for the BBC is Ben Caudell. The Series Producers for Vico Films are Peter Foott and Cormac Fox, alongside Executive Producers Abby Singer, Lotte Beasley and Michael Doherty. Commissioning Editor for RTÉ Comedy is Justin Healy. The Director for series 4 is Jamie Jay Johnson.
