Crescent College Comprehensive celebrate Bowen Shield success

Crescent College Comprehensive claimed an impressive win over PBC in the Bowen Shield final

LIMERICK side Crescent College Comprehensive claimed the prestigious Bowen Shield with a convincing 27-5 win over PBC, of Cork, at Wilton.

After falling 0-5 in arrears, the Dooradoyle students came roaring back to take control of the final.

Crescent grabbed their first score when, following a line-out close to the Pres’ 10-metre line, the ball was spread out to Tony O’Sullivan for a try behind the posts. Ben Davey followed it up with the simple conversion to put Crescent into a 7-5 lead.

The second half was one-way traffic in favour of the Limerick side. Davey extended their lead to 13-5 with two penalties in the third quarter.
