THE quarter-finals of the Munster Schools Senior Cup continue today with two Limerick sides involved in glamour fixtures.

Castletroy College booked their place in the semi-finals with a hard-earned 15-0 win over St Clement’s College at Rosbrien yesterday.

The last eight ties continue today, Wednesday, when Ardscoil Ris, beaten finalists for the past two seasons, take on CBC at UL 4G at 2pm. The game is a repeat of last season’s quarter-final meeting between the schools when Ardscoil emerged victorious following a dramatic late penalty goal from Conor Fitzgerald.

Ardscoil edged out local rivals St Munchin’s College to book their place in the quarter-finals, while CBC overcame Crescent College Comprehensive at Thomond Park in their opening fixture.

Meanwhile, 2013 and 2014 Senior Cup winners Crescent College Comprehensive travel to Tipperary Two to face Rockwell College at Clanwilliam Park, 2.30pm.

Crescent College bounced back to form when scoring six tries in their second round win over Glenstal Abbey after the Dooradoyle side lost their opening fixture to Cork heavyweights CBC.

The quarter-finals of the Munster Schools Senior Cup will conclude tomorrow, Thursday, when PBC host Bandon Grammar School at Musgrave Park, 2.30pm.

Bandon knocked St Munchin’s College out in the second round on UL’s 4G pitch on Friday in a big cup upset.
