Tempo Football is a private academy based in Limerick and Cork, with the goal of contributing to Irish football in a powerful and meaningful way.

Guiding young athletes of all abilities through the likes of our TY programme. A course offered to TY students with an interest in pursuit sports on top of their academics. Partaking in gym sessions, quality pitch work and expansive sports science modules.

With over 94 players this year alone, parents in the past have said their children 'have become far better technical players with a great mindset for game intelligence that allows them to be better team players.'

International caps, senior debut with League of Ireland squads, League of Ireland Academies and US scholarships are only a few of the successes to come from Tempo Football players, who have taken part in the Tempo TY programme.

Before the year finishes, the Tempo TY programme showcases the talent and progress of each player by hosting a showcase game before the summer break. As part of this final, Tempo Football invites scouts and football professionals to watch the 90-minute game.

Putting these young up-and-coming athletes on a stage where they can put their best foot forward and display all they have learned over the 30-week academic year.

Brighton U20s player Mike Dike, highlights this opportunity, having been seen by Brighton’s chief scout for the first time at the showcase event.

The programme is led by qualified teachers and quality coaches, Tempo offers an alternative pathway of progression to Irish football, where academics and football come hand-in-hand. Tempo’s next trials are on Thursday February 19 in Aisling Annacotty Limerick, and Leeside Sports Complex Cork.
