LIMERICK Anti-Racism Network hosted a day of solidarity entitled Limerick Says Welcome in the city on Saturday.
The event took place from noon at Harvey’s Quay. It featured live music, face painting and Limerick’s mini-Olympics hosted by Cllr Elisa O’Donovan.
Limerick Anti-Racism Network posted on X on Saturday: “We had a beautiful day of solidarity today in Limerick to say our city is diverse, welcoming, and open. And we love that diversity, it makes us.”

Meanwhile, later that afternoon, Limerick Says No held another protest against a plan for 340 refugees to be accommodated at River House on Charlotte’s Quay. The protest, which culminated at City Hall, went off peacefully.
