An arrest has been made following a report of a man with a gun in Toomebridge, Co Antrim.
Police said the incident happened in the Red Row area on Sunday evening.
A spokesperson said officers on mobile patrol in the area at around 7pm were “alerted by two members of the public that a male in the vicinity had a gun”.

“The officers subsequently stopped to speak with a group which had gathered outside one of the properties,” they said.
“Additional officers, including those from the Armed Response Unit (ARU), also attended the scene and, following inquiries, a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm/imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
“He was also later arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and remains in police custody at this time.”
Police said the property was also searched, and suspected Class A drugs seized.
“A second, 37-year-old man, was then arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A controlled drug,” they added.
“He has since been released on bail to allow for further police inquiries.
“Our inquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone with information which might assist us to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1263 of 22/02/26.”
