Thousands of euros cash and a suspected €300k worth of cocaine have been seized following a major garda operation.

A man in his 30s has been arrested and charged following a drugs seizure in Coolock, Dublin 17.

At approximately 4.30pm on Monday, June 3, gardaí conducted a search under warrant at an address in Coolock.

The search was conducted under Operation Tara, as part of an investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) North.

During the course of the search, suspected cocaine valued at approximately €305,500 was seized by gardaí. The drugs are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).

Over €17,000 in cash was also seized.

A man (aged in his 30s) was arrested during the course of the operation and detained at a Garda station in County Dublin.

He has since been charged and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this Tuesday at 10.30am.
