GARDAI are attending the scene of a car accident outside Adare, which is causing long delays through the village.
The accident is blocking the N21 outside Adare Manor.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area completely, as drivers stuck in a long queue are reporting delays of up to an hour to pass the scene.
Gardai from the Newcastle West district are on their way to the scene of the accident.
The fire service has not been called to the crash. It is not known if any injuries were sustained.
