Three rushed to University Hospital Limerick after two-car collision

GARDAI are investigating following a serious road traffic collision which saw three people hospitalised this Sunday.

Gardaí, firefighters and ambulance paramedics attended the scene following a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision involving cars at O’Brien's Bridge, county Clare, said a garda spokesperson.

"The incident occurred at approximately 4pm. Three people were conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for medical assessment.

"Investigations are ongoing," said the garda spokesperson, who added that the road has since reopened.

It is understood that injuries suffered by the three individuals are non-life-threatening at this time.
