Gardaí seek information on assault which sees driver punch pedestrian in Limerick city

AN ASSAULT in Limerick city sees gardaí appeal for witnesses after a man is injured.

On Wednesday, September 25 at 11:20, a man in his mid-twenties was crossing the road at Mount Kenneth Place.

Another man driving a black BMW car beeped at him and got out of the car and punched the man crossing the road into the face.

The driver got back into his car and drove off. The injured man suffered a broken tooth and an injury to his forehead.

CCTV is being gathered but if anybody was in the area at that time and witnessed the assault or knows anything about it, they are asked to contact Henry Street gardaí on 061 212400.
