A DOG rescue in Limerick have issued a heartfelt plea for a forever home for a "super affectionate" Jack Russel.

Molly Moos Westie Rescue shared pictures on social media of Lucy, "a beautiful and extremely sweet 6 year old female Jack Russell Terrier", whose owner has passed away.

"Meet ‘Lucy’ who came into our care when her owner passed away, she was so sad but has started to adjust to her new circumstances and her little personality is beginning to shine," the rescue posted.

According to the rescue, Lucy is quiet and "super affectionate", well-behaved indoors and in the car, and fully toilet-trained.

This cute pup is quite happy in the company of other dogs, "but would rather have her new best friend(s) all to herself," the rescue said.

"Lucy's ideal home would be where there is someone home for a good portion of the day, maybe a retired couple or person. She enjoys a quiet life, so no small children".

If you think Lucy's new home could be with you, you can DM Molly Moos Westie Rescue to enquire.
