IRELAND'S sold-out Davis Cup World Group I playoff clash with Austria at a sold-out UL continues this Sunday with three further matches in the tie down for decision.
Play gets underway at 11am with a men's double match featuring Conor Gannon and David O'Hare, of Ireland, taking on Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler, of Austria.
That match will then be followed by two reverse singles.
A capacity attendance of 2,400 were treated to a thrilling afternoon action of tennis on Saturday as the opening two men's singles took place.
Ireland's Michael Agwi produced a really impressive display before losing out 7-6, 6-3 to 2020 US Open champion and former world number three Dominic Thiem, of Austria, in the day's opening game.
World ranked number 40 Sebastian Ofner then gave Austria a 2-0 lead in the tie when defeating Ireland's Osgar O'Hoisin in the day's second match.
Limerick native Conor Niland is Ireland Davis Cup team captain. Niland played at both Wimbledon and the US Open during an impressive playing career.
This is the first Davis Cup tie to be played in Ireland since 2015. The tie is also the first staging of a Davis Cup match in Limerick in 35 years. Limerick Lawn Tennis Club was the venue for previous Davis Cup success in 1989, when the Irish team beat Senegal 4-1.
