Limerick Covid-19 test centre to relocate

The Covid-19 test centre in Limerick will relocate from next Monday

THE LIMERICK Covid-19 test centre will be relocated from next week.

The Health Service Executive confirmed that the centre will be moved from the interim location at St Joseph's Health Campus, Mulgrave Street.

The centre will now be located at Richmond Court, Mount Kennett Place, Dock Road, Limerick, V94 F2AR from Monday, December 19.

The test centre at Richmond Court will offer appointments seven days a week. Testing capacity will be unchanged.

Appointments will be available via the self-referral portal on HSE.ie or via GP referral for those who require it.

The centre used to be located at the former Wickes building at Ballysimon Road on the outskirts of the city.

At its peak, the drive-through facility, which opened in October 2020, was able to cater for around 1,000 tests a day before the roll-out of Covid-19 vaccines.
