Status orange weather warning issued for Limerick as Met Éireann warns of ‘low temperatures’

MET ÉIREANN has issued an orange weather warning for Limerick as low temperatures and ice are expected.

The weather warning comes as temperatures could drop below -5 degrees tomorrow, Sunday.

“A severe frost and further icy stretches will set in on Sunday night, accompanied by patches of freezing fog,” Met Éireann said on their website.

The weather warning is valid from 5pm tomorrow Sunday, December 11 until 12pm Monday, December 12.

The status orange weather warning is in place for the entire country.

Temperatures could also fall to -5 degrees tonight as severe frost is expected - there is also a chance of the formation of ice on roads and footpaths overnight.
