TEMPERATURES could reach as low as -5 degrees in Limerick tonight according to Met Éireann.
The temperature is set to drop below freezing tonight as the cold snap continues in Limerick.
People are asked to remain vigilant as ice is due to form on roads and paths due to the freezing temperatures.
According to Met Éireann, there will be more widespread severe frost tonight as the temperatures drop.
There will be patches of freezing fog in many areas also.
The Met Éireann website predicts lowest temperatures of -5 to 0 degrees for tonight with light northerly or variable breezes.
Tomorrow, Sunday will be another very cold day with temperatures of just 0 to 3 degrees.
It will be mainly dry with some sunshine but frost and fog may linger in some places all day - winds will be light northerly or variable.
