Man taken to University Hospital Limerick with ‘serious injuries’ after M7 crash

A MAN has been taken to University Hospital Limerick with “serious injuries” following a crash on the M7 Motorway.

Gardai confirmed that the crash on the M7 this Wednesday morning was “serious”.

“Gardaí in Nenagh are at the scene of a serious RTC that occurred on the M7 this morning, Wednesday 30th January, 2019 at approximately 7.40am,” said a statement.

“One male was removed to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries. The road is currently closed from junction 27 Birdhill to junction 26 Nenagh, northbound and local diversions are in place.

“Garda Forensic collision investigators are en route to scene. Investigations ongoing,” they added.

It is understood that the road will remain closed until the afternoon.
