A ROAD in Limerick that was blocked due to collision this Monday afternoon has now reopened.
The N21 road outside Newcastle West was blocked following a collision in the area. Motorists had been advised to avoid the area if possible and emergency services were at the scene.
Limerick Fire Service was alerted to the incident at 3.40pm, and dispatched three units from the Rathkeale and Newcastle West stations to the scene of the crash.
The road reopened shortly after 5.30pm.
Meanwhile, a collision on the Dock Road in the city had also caused delays.
