Jack Boddy passed away on St Patrick's Day
FUNERAL arrangements have been announced for a popular county Limerick man.
The body of the county Limerick man, originally from Grange, Kilmallock, and living in Kilkee, was found following an extensive search operation in the Lahinch area of Clare.
The family thanked all of those who were involved in the search for Jack, who died "following an accident."
Clare GAA paid tribute to Mr Boddy, describing him as "a much loved friend of many in West Clare, of our senior football management and squad of 2025, and particularly of our 2026 squad of U20 footballers, to whom he was strength and conditioning coach, helping guide them to an opening round win" on the Saturday, the week before he passed away.
Members of Clare GAA also thanked all of their members who helped in the search for Jack.

The 20-year-old had been reported missing on Sunday, March 15, but the search was stood down on March 17, St Patrick's Day when his body was found.
Mr Boddy will repose in the Church of the Immaculate Conception and St Senan's, Kilkee (Eircode V15PP80) on Saturday, March 21 between 5pm and 7pm.
Requiem Mass is on Sunday, March 22 at 11am in Kilkee Church followed by a cremation service in Shannon Crematorium at 4pm.
The family have requested family flowers only and that donations in lieu be made to Kilkee Sub Aqua Club Search and Rescue, if desired.
Jack Boddy is sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his father Mossie, mother Sarah, brother Tádgh, grandparents Seán and Deirdre Moore and Maurice and Marian Boddy, and his extended family, colleagues in sport and many friends.
One mourner remembered Mr Boddy as a "beautiful kind-hearted and friendly young person who gave his all to everything he was involved in and always with a smile on his face."
A representative of Dromin Athlacca GAA said: "Jack was a valued player, teammate, friend and represented the club with distinction. He will be sadly missed."
Another tribute said: "He will always be remembered as a kind, friendly and thoughtful young man who shared many happy sporting and college memories with our children. Those moments will be treasured."
Galway GAA coaching and games also paid tribute saying: "Jack was a joy to work with in his role as club development officer here in Galway GAA. Jack was incredibly nice, patient, supportive and pleasant to all the kids he coached."
Staff in Craughwell NS, where Jack Boddy was the hurling coach last year also remembered him fondly. "He was so pleasant, kind, patient and encouraging to all the children. They loved their Friday sessions with Mr Boddy. I spoke with him many times and he was a credit to his family and the GAA."
When news of Mr Boddy's death reached the Bruff Grange Meanus Community Council, the St Patrick's Day parade in Bruff, which was due to take place at 2.30pm that day, was called off as a mark of respect.
As a mark of respect, Clare GAA's upcoming U20 match for this weekend has also been postponed.
