GARDAI have seized thousands of euros of heroin and crack cocaine following a search operation in a Limerick city estate.
The illegal substances, with a street value of €20,650 were recovered this Thursday as part of a major operation targetting their sale and supply.
Local officers teamed up with the regional armed support unit for the operation, with five search warrants executed at properties in King’s Island area.
During the course of the searches, heroin to the value of €10,500 and crack cocaine to the value of €10,150 was seized along with €1,300 cash.

All drugs seized are now subject to examination by Forensic Science Ireland.
No arrests have been made at this time.
It comes after garda reinitiated Operation Feabhsaigh under the direction of Superintendent Andrew Lacey of Henry Street garda station.
Its key priorities are targetting the sale and supply of drugs in the King's Island area.
On top of this, it aims to stamp out open drug use, chronic anti-social behyaviour, aggressive begging and general crime in the community.
